At the beginning of 2000s the "Association of Vittorio De Sica's Friends", led by the son of the great director Manuel, gave Gualtiero De Santi the assignment of editing different monographic books on Vittorio De Sica's films. I was called to participate to "L'Oro di Napoli " (The Gold of Naples, 1954), "Ieri, Oggi e Domani" (Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow, 1963) "Matrimonio all'Italiana" (Marriage Italian Style, 1964). It has been to me a great honor to homage with my essays one of the greatest and revloutionary Italian film directors ever.
